You might know more professionals from where you once worked or who once worked with you — but, do you keep in touch with them? Do you really know what is going on in the industry? If you are like most professionals, there is never enough time to keep up.
Women In Animation, an international professional organization, opens the door for you, giving you reasons to get out into the animation community to participate and mingle among other animation professionals. As a member of WIA you will have opportunities to:

Membership Explained
Membership to Women In Animation is open to all professionals working in any and all aspects of the art and industry of animation. WIA is also open to students who are currently enrolled in an animation program.
WIA is currently divided into two areas: West and East. However, in those areas we have WIA groups that are active in specific regions like Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. If you do not live within a 75 mile radius of any of these areas, you will still receive newsletters and information from the group closest to you, and WIA International. You may join as either a Professional or Student.
They are defined as follows:
Professional Member: Open to any persons working in any and all aspects of the animation industry. Professional Members have the right to vote and hold office at the international level.
Student Member: Open to any student who submits a copy of her or his current student identification. Students do not have the right to vote..
The annual membership fee is $50 for a Professional and $25 for a Student. One membership price covers your International and Regional Membership. (If the pursuit of excellence in the art and industry of animation has placed you in financial hardship, a reduction in membership may be available.)
