The WIA Chicago Chapter’s mission is to aid in building a strong community of animators in both the commercial and artistic sectors. Through organized events such as guest lectures, work-in-progress critiques, and demos of new technology by experienced animators, we aim to create opportunities for animation artists at all levels to develop professional relationships and enhance existing skills. Our future goals include providing mentoring opportunities, portfolio development sessions and community outreach programs. By organizing animators in the Chicago area and Mid-West, we hope to establish a strong presence of creativity and skill in Chicago’s burgeoning animation industry.
