Two Great Events for WIA New York!

On Oct. 22nd, is a fabulous networking event hosted by Jill Gilbert of ONE PLUS HUB - Animation Groups in the Big Apple. ASIFA, WIA, and Women In Children’s Media are the groups invited. It’s Thursday, from 7:00pm-10:00pm, at Beauty Bar at 231 E. 14th St., NY 10003. For more info, check out oneplushub.com. NO NEED TO RSVP JUST SHOW UP! Cash bar.
Our meeting on Oct. 19th, is with Scott Tornek, Co-Founder and President of So Smart! Productions. His company creates and produces trusted, award-winning animated DVD’s and related products for babies, toddler and preschoolers. He will show clips of his latest series, So Smart! First Word Stories, and talk about both the creative and business perspectives as an independent creator, producer, and distributor. He will also discuss the company’s latest foray into mass market retailing, with their new distribution partner, Echo Bridge Home Entertainment.
