Women In Animation

As you know by now, WIA’s Annual Meeting is upon us and we are thrilled to be hosting you on the roof of Cartoon Network’s Burbank offices.  It promises to be a wonderful night, but be sure to bring a jacket as it can be chilly and flat shoes because it is a roof top.

This year’s meeting will highlight a spirited program of Voiceover talent, reminding us all of the contribution good comedy can make to the success of a project.  Our own MJ Lallo will be entertaining and informing us, along with a few of her friends.

It is also our desire to encourage the membership to recognize how our many talents can be used to lift the spirits of those less fortunate.  We are looking forward to announcing several opportunities for the members of WIA to join in day long events with both children’s and elderly organizations.  We have seen first hand how these events can encourage healing, talent, and stories to be told.  Our hope is to create a format that all of our chapters can use to interact with charities in their local markets.

As always, we will be presenting the State of the Organization, the vote results from our current Board of Directors election, and maybe even a surprise or two!
