A Tremendous Thank You to Greenlightjobs!

24 07 2007

by Stephanie Graziano, WIA International Board President

During WIA’s July Board Meeting, Lisa Kaye, Founder and CEO of Greenlightjobs.com, honored WIA with a very generous donation of $1,000 for the Phyllis Craig Scholarship Fund. Noting that it is rare to find such an organization with a mission that includes educational support to women studying in the field, and being a female entrepreneur, she relates to the value of supplementing the cost of education in the quest to fulfill a dream. WIA is in the process of building a long term relationship with Greenlightjobs.com and appreciates Lisa’s contribution to and support of our efforts to assist those in need. Thanks also to Ross Gile for attending the meeting. We look forward to working together in the near future!

Upcoming Event: An Animator’s Grand Salute to Woody Woodpecker! Guess Who!

3 07 2007

We just got word about an event that anyone who loves cartoons will want to know about – StoryMakers Studio’s Salute to Woody Woodpecker and his creator Walter Lantz.

It’s going to be a very special night. There will be live appearances by several of the biggest names in the cartoon world, including a six-time Emmy® Award winning cartoon producer who began his career with Walt Disney over 50 years ago and the voices behind some of the most popular cartoon characters of all time.

We wouldn’t be surprised if these voice artists spent part of the evening talking as the characters they’re so well known for.

And here’s the best thing. You can enjoy this event whether you’re in Los Angeles or not.

To find out all the details, including who’s appearing that night and how you can enjoy StoryMakers Studio’s Salute to Woody Woodpecker and Walter Lantz, just point your browser to:

Again you can enjoy this event from just about anywhere in the world!

See you there!
